Which Fuel Injection Connector do I pick?

The wire insulation everywhere under my hood is brittle and falling apart. I've since found out this is a common problem with Contours.

So far only the fuel injector wires are causing a problem. I spent a couple of hours coating them with liquid-tape to get me by. I want to splice in some new connectors so I can hopefully get past the worst part of the flaked wires.

I'm really a novice at car repair so when there are multiple choices for the part I don't know what's what.
Rock Auto shows two different choices under "Fuel Injection Harness Connector"...
Part # S697 for $4.66 each or
Part # SK25 for $9.46 each.

And there are few other choices under "Fuel Injector Connector"

What I want is the cheapest option that definitely has the wire leads attached.
Can someone tell me exactly which part number I need?

Thanks,
Rick

Go to a junkyard and cut the injector harness off of a 98 or 99 Escort Zx2. It will have the same ev1 connector and should cost $10 for all 4. I just know this one for a fact, you could get these off almost any mid 90s ford though, Ford only used Ev1 for a long time then switched to Ev6 around 2000.

The cheapest option would be to rebuild your OEM connectors with new wires, though. With some patience and pick tools you can do it.

When you do this make sure to replace the wires all the way up and past anywhere near where engine movement occurs, harness movement is what really does these harnesses in.
