Is this part broke??

My SVT overheated bad a while back and now that I am starting to tear it apart I have a question. Is the part on the top left suppossed to look this way or is it broke??

Haha. Actually no its not its actually supposed to be a little worm tunnel for the throttle bottle. Needs all that to be cleaned out, that dramaticaly hurts performance..Here, I made a second picture how its suppose to be.

as well as looking at the waterpump for the reason you overheated?

Guys I could be wrong (not super clear pic) but I believe that "clog" is just a piece of his TB gasket stuck there in front of the passage. In which case it's normal, just needs to be scraped off and a new gasket installed.

That said, you should certainly clean out that EGR passage anyway while you have the UIM off.

yeah I am making my way down to the head gasket....that was the plan. It overheated because my water pump belt shredded while on 85 during morning rush hour and a wreck at N. Druid Hills. I was stuck in the middle lane and nobodey would let me over to get off until it was way to late.

After all this happened I had no compression...any ideas what else I should be looking at??

agreed, no compression in any cylinders = new motor.

Damn IT!!!! Don't say those kinds of things.....I think it actually had compression in some of the cylinders but it wouldn't start.

Anyone know a good place to get a motor if it came to that?? Possible the 3.0 :-D

If the head gasket is the only thing wrong wouldn't it be cheaper just to do the repairs to this motor?? I mean I would rather go with the 3.0 but I need to get it fixed so if no sho available I guess I have to go with the exisiting.
