that is why i joined this site to get the info on what i dont know.yeah i will loose the badges.sorry to offend the real svt owners.....but i made it clear i do not own an svt.it is a se.im hinking o loosing all the badges.even the 24v...and nauberizing it. i think thats what you guys call it.removing the ding guards.i will do some research on the svt....
 
I guess it doesn't look too bad. The blue seat covers aren't that great in my opinion. Other than that it doesn't look all that bad. The fogs in the grille is a little cool :shrug: The SHO Shop Y-Pipe is a SVT style Y-Pipe that was produced, but not off the Taurus SHO. Also, not sure if you can get the SHO shop Y-Pipe new anymore. Please take the SVT badges off like you said and after the sidemarkers are on it will look alot better!:cool:

Good idea (particularly the badges). Be careful with Knauberizing. If your paint has faded over the years, you might get racing stripes. If any of the doors were repainted, you definitely will get racing strips. It is for both these reasons that I have not yet removed them from my car.
 
good point on the paint. i will run a car fax and see if it has ever been in a bodyshop before i go removing the ding guards....a for the fog light in the grill.i actually want to put those ones in the factory fog light holes an put a smallr set that actually fits alittle better into the grill more.
 
Carfax will not report bodywork performed. it will note if there was an accident claimed through insurance, but the "minor damage" could be something as small as a tiny scratch.

My SVT has had two repaints, as told by the previous owner (Passenger door, and front/rear bumpers). I didn't see them on carfax.

How would i find out then. i thought car fax would show if there was any accident on the car that would show if it was in the bodyshop,right...:shrug:
thats what i was getting at.
i just placed my order for the msds headers and y pipe,and eliminator..
now are the eliminators neccisary to put on the headers...i talked to joey and he said it is only for some instances.let me know if someone can.

and this weekend im gonna be removing the badges.now when i bought the intake manifold it came with the svt badge on it.i bought it from e-bay.and then i painted it and put it back on.should i loose that badge too.or no.

You're best bet is to pull back a small bit of the door ding gaurd and take a look. Do these for ALL the doors first! When I knauberized, I removed the ding guards on 3 doors that came out well. On the fourth one, I found that it had been repainted and had a ton of clear coat build up that had to be sanded and buffed, and it still looks bad in the right light.
 
Not everyone reports body damage to insurance when they send their cars to the shop for repairs, so that's why sometimes you don't see it show up on carfax.

i had an amp rack for my stereo.and i took them out while my car was sitting off the road.so stuff didnt get stolen.i had 3 jl audio w3 and all 6x9 installed.and built a amp rack and a back wall.was going to mount 2 bucket racing seats in the rear and 2 in the front.trying to create something different......dont want my countour to be like all the rest.wanted something different.
 
I really like the grill lights, as long as they are driving lights and not fogs. Loose all of the smoker gaurds on the windows unless you replace the pass door one.

Only way I'd let you keep the svt ricer badge is if you have a full SVT motor under the hood.

i do have the passanger vent visor i just removed it when my dog rides with me because my pit tends to pull it out sometimes.i have it and its not broken.just havent gotten around to putting it back on....
