It's a metal grill. I eventually plan on getting the front grills powdercoated. I may tint the tails and headlights, but I am not sure I would like the look just yet. The headlights tinted looks mean, but I am not a huge fan of tinted tails. It makes the rear look kinda plain.

A black chrome grill shell w/ matte mesh would be tits, I also agree w/ leaving the tails alone

I definitely don't miss the days of prepping and painting a contour grill

I hate the pinstripe, but it is painted on. I don't have the paintworking skills or confidence to take it off myself. I'll eventually get a detailer to take it off. At least it matches the calipers.

I am not sure if I want to leave the outer chrome border of the grill alone and just paint the inside black, or paint the whole think black. I also can't find anybody who is willing to do black chrome. Everyone I talk to says it either doesn't come out right or the finish doesn't last very long.

You are mistaken. Cheap interior pieces is contour dash warp. I am very comfy in my loaded interior. It's just leather and plastic, no fake woodtrim here.

But its still the standard GM hard plastic that people complain about. Believe me I love the old and new CTS models but no one would climb into one and think it was equal with something German.

I'd consider going over it w/ a graphite/charcoal or something darker if it's paint...I've done that to a couple I had that were painted, blend it or change it to something you like.
