just quickly glancing at the video...your wheels hooked at 13 seconds and you hit 60 at about 22 seconds. so, you're at about 9 seconds in my book. stock specs were what, 6.9?
The SVT Contour accelerates from a standstill to 60 mph in 7.9 seconds. The quarter-mile is covered in 15.7 seconds with a speed of 88 mph. In closed-course testing, the SVT Contour achieves a top speed of 143 mph.

I still don't think 9 seconds is bad at all.
well i know my car has something wrong with it cuz my friend has a csvt and mine does not pull when you think the secondarys would open even though my imrc is working. and my friends car pulls way harder then mine at that point and his is comp stock
i knew it was something like that. i don't think the video posted is all that abnormal.
intake manifolds get gunked up after a while. the smooth surface the extrude honing left behind isn't worth all that much as has been proved many times over. that's where i'd start...clean out the uim and the throttle body.
already cleaned all of that. the car used to run normal and it only has 120k on it it should not be that worn out. i got new maff fuel filter tune up plugs and wires and cam sensors diff lower intake and injectors fuel pressure regulator and i put the stock intake and filter back in with new filter i have no plugged cats new tps and replaced the imrc so im outta ideas its getting more full 3L soon anyways
no, i used to drive a 124hp saturn lol. Look at it towards then end, you'd think top end would be faster after about 80mph but it took a bit to get to 90 haha.
I wasn't talking about your past car. My wife used to have a 100hp '02 SL2 we would take on trips because of the mpg and reliability vs the 'Tour. And after driving it, my Contour seemed fast. The opposite would happen if I drove something faster. For example, every now and then I would drive my Grandpa's Intrigue, and then my Contour would seem slow. 8sec 0-60 isn't very impressive these days.
quoted for truthSometimes the plastic clips that connect to the secondary runner cable get brittle and break. So the IMRC is working, but the secondarys don't open. This is very common and they are in a spot where you might not notice them. I've already had to replace my IMRC, and both of the plastic clips. I hope this helps, because the Duratec is a completely different beast when everything works properly.

im pretty sure mine are working not sure about his but im going to try that pre 98 secondary swap then they open on vacume and see what that does
