WPI cancelled classes from 2pm on apparently ... first time since my freshman year (four years ago).

Today I discovered that in cities, the drains get clogged when it snows. Which allows for minor 1inch flooding on literally every street. Heck with dressing up for work, definitely wearing waterproof shoes tomorrow!

If it snows I wear jeans to work. I'm such a rebel!

I can't believe jerks who dress up to go to work with their fancy shoes and nice cloths. This one moron who is a big guy at one of the banks we maintain just about fell on his face in front of me on wednesday as I was trying to clean the walkway. He got himself situated and then said to me "better hurry up, the walks are getting slippery" I wanted to slap him silly but instead I said, "you live in the north where you know it snows and gets slippery. You're wearing leather sole shoes in a snow strom. You deserve to fall." He just looked at me with this funny look on his face and then he shuffeled away over the snowy walkway I just put lots of ice melt on. I laughed as I thought about how all the salty snow would melt and turn to salty water and then dry leaving salt stains on his shinny black shoes.

These people amaze me. No matter what the weather they have to dress their best. Thats absurd. They all deserve to fall on their face. Especially those broads that have to wear high heels when there's snow on the ground. They're just inviting disaster.

The way I look at it, if you step outside and can't walk with what you are wearing then go change or go back in your house and don't come back out till the snow melts!!!

JSmith, I would probably be sent home from work if I didn't dress up (and I HATE tucking in shirts and wearing chinos). It's one of those things you have to do in certain corporate environments. :(

Although I do have coworkers who are smart and keep a pair of shoes under their desk for the time they want to wear boots to commute.

Yeah but you don't have to dress up to walk outside. He's saying keep the shiny shoes for inside the building and wear some boots to walk in.
It's not hard to bring a change of clothes, and no employer is gonna give you crap for walking in from outside in some boots, as long as you don't wear them all day.
