The engine block, trans case and z mount were all painted Ford blue. The valve covers and intake were all kept black and the timing cover was painted black as well. I will up load pics of the swap when I get more time. The motor has had 6,000 miles put on it after the swap and I could not ask for it to run any better... The car gets great MPG and has awesome response when it is needed. When at WOT in 1st the car dose have traction issues even if you are at a role on dry pavement. When the pavement is wet traction is a big issue in 1st and 2nd at 1/2 throttle or more....
Car now has 271,xxx and still running strong 17,xxx miles after the swap but could still benefit greatly with a tune (runs very rich when cold) 3l now has 93k on it(1/10/2013)
~276k miles car had the spec T/O fail was replaced with oem ford part
Also fixed the 3rd grind that was caused by shift fork fail. Shift fork & output shaft were replaced with used Oem parts & works great now & discovered after furthering my knowledge realized the car has a pre-98 diff as well
