well. i've posted two requests for photoshops which i never got. the first one got locked while the second got no love. i'll try it a third time tho :). its the same thing i've been asking for really... i have an appointment to drop off my evo style hood at the paint shop on thursday. while looking around the pics forum, i found inspiration from elky's car. am not sure if he still owns it tho. i would like that two tone scheme. except instead of black, i was thinking the same color as my headlights. do u think it would be too obvious? in other words could someone pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease :) photoshop elky's hood but use the grey color as my headlights instead of black? (i hope elky doesnt mind)

heres the link to elkys ride. Despite my multiple requests, no one has yet shown me how to post pix without using links.

First off you don’t even have the hood on the car making this not just a simple color change Photoshop. Also when working on a Photoshop of a car it’s nice to not have dirt all over the hood to make it even more difficult. This is why your probably haven’t gotten much help. I will work on one now and post it when I am done.

I can help you out here, when you are posting the link to the image, just take that URL and put it between IMG tags to look like this:

Aaaaah! i see :). thanx man. :troutslap: always wondered wot the other links on photobucket were for anyway

looking good! looks like i might finally have to remove the red svt plate. its kinda throwing the look off. sorry, it was my first noob mod :). am gonna paint the oval sf too. any takers? pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese? that should complete the look am looking for.

I disagree since you can see the building in the background, and all the fingerprints around the headlights.
I assume were not talking about elky's car.

i think he wants the carbon fiber area of elky's hood painted to match his headlights...so the hood would be silver/gray? am i right?
and yes elky still has his car...its hibernating in his garage

I guess it confused me because I didn't understand why you would completely paint a carbon fiber hood like that. Why not just sell it to someone that wants the carbon fiber and buy the fiberglass version of the same hood?

i really wanted to paint the oval silver frost. but they asked too much. like 2hrs of labor or sumthn. now i just need to know where ppl get their rattle can paint from so i can do it myself.

Compliments the headlights better than I thought

Ever thought of clearing the paint or do you like the flat gray headlight?
