Yeah, I had hyperextended the axle when I put it in the day prior and got some serious wheel hop, and the front end was shaking seriously all the way down the track,oh well.

It was cool regardless. Anyone with any knowledge in drag racing knows why the times were that way...traction.

Well yeah AND its commerce, the track goes slightly uphill and the elevation is crazy high. The track was crap that day as it is most days. But none the less I got my 2:02 of fame so I dont care:laugh:

Just curious, what was your best time? How about stazi, what did he run?

WELLLLL lol my best time was a 14.1, I had only ran it 1 night at the track prior to passtime and that was fun ford weekend. I did 6 runs that day and I started at a pathetic 16.4, I had to learn the car on the track and either I spun into 3rd as I did on passtime, or I bogged the hell out of it off the line. But I went from a 16.4 to a 14.1 in 6 runs, so with more time behind the wheel on the track I would have had it in the 13's in no time. I also NEVER drove the car as you all know. I put I think a little over 1200-1400 miles on it in the 17months I owned it.

If I kept it I was going to lower the low boost setting down to like 3-4psi for the launch, 8psi is too much to launch at in that car, makes too much power to get off the line imo.

people don't really understand how hard it is to drive a turbocharged car (that isnt AWD) at the dragstrip on street tires. Its not as simple as controlling spinning off the line like with a NA setup. When i ran the mustang on street tires i had the same issues, spinning off the line, then again under boost in each gear.

When the car was NA, I ran a 12.77 @ 106, probably around 280 hp/ 300 trq to the wheels
when the car was turbo i ran a 12.86 @ 120, with 410 hp and 475 trq.

its not easy! i understand ryan!

front wheel drive in general is very tough for drag racing, and the contour seems especially poor for it with all the wheel hop issues.
