So what the hell, guys? My car goes down for a few months and no one makes a meet in my absence? C'mon!

All is TBD, but here are my initial thoughts:

Date: Early April
Event: Cruise
Location: We could do another run up PCH & canyons, or hit up Old Angeles Crest...?
Other: Food (location dependent)

So, what're everyone's thoughts?

I'd like to meet up with everyone, but the 7th is the only weekend I'm gonna be around for the next month or so, and thats Easter weekend. If everyones down then cool, otherwise I'm gonna have to wait till next time.

I'm gone from the 17th onwards. So whattabout the 7th or the 14th?

And Ary - I did want to have one this year; so, no.

I could hit it up if I had good directions on how to get there. I live up by Sacramento but have been wanting to go on a 101 cruise for a while. the 7th would be good for me.

are terminators allowed??

Only if they're equipped with a Colonel. So should we do a repeat of Matty K's first (and last) Annual Holiday Run? Meet up in the Marina, cruise up PCH, cut into the 23, hilarity ensues, and then end with a meal somewhere?

Steve, think John would be interested in a SHO-BQ?

Sorry to be a noob, but meet where?, go where?
I am in for hilarity and a meal somewhere :)

Dude, you'd better. I swear man, I'll come kick you if you don't show.

For the people who didn't go before, the run went like this:

-Met up in Marina Del Rey. Hung out a bit (I think we might move the meeting place further up Lincoln into Venice... there's a few places there with HUGE parking lots)
-Cruise up PCH, through Malibu
-At Malibu's north end, turn onto Rt 23 (it's a canyon road)
-Do a bit of "spirited" driving
-End on 23 in Thousand Oaks (Westlake?)
-Chill a bit, then go get eats

Last time, John ("the SHO Guy") had a BBQ at his house at the end of the meet. I'm not signing him up for it again, but if this is the route we want, I'll at least ask him. Actually, we should let the Coug and SHO peeps know once we have a set itinerary. So, does this sound good to everyone, or do we want to do somewhere else (I was thinking of Angeles Crest too, in NE L.A.)?

Matty,

I think you mean Decker Canyon to Mulholland Highway to Westlake Boulevard. That is the southern end of 23. That was the route from a few years ago. Malibu canyon (Las Vergines) has too much traffic and is heavily patrolled.

Alternatively to John's place for a BBQ there are plenty of parks in Thousand Oaks.

yeah Decker Canyon. that's the way we went last time. definitely a corner carver's paradise

ari took the lotus. we hit the first turn and we never saw him again.....

i recently talked to John about hosting another bbq. he's all for it. its a good way for you guys to meet him who never have before. you can discuss what new mods you'd like to get done. you can also see the s/c vortech csvt that he's got sitting in his driveway....

Angeles Crest is great too. but lets save it for next time. it would definitely be easier to get more people out for the PCH run. once people see what fun there is to be had, itll be easier to set up the next one.

i dont know of ANY cougar people in the area.

im probably going to invite some of the other ford guys as well. the one guy with the blown crown vic and his buddy with the 98 cobra. cool guys, love to cruise.
