Figured I would ask this here as well as NECO, lots of good knowledge to tap into here. I have always run Royal Purple Synchromax in the past in my MTX-75's with much success (despite two blown transmissions, both of which were MY fault, not the fluid's). I have a good "in" with an Amsoil dealer (he was a passenger on my train car last fall, we chatted cars, and he gave me his card and will take good care of me on fluids), and noticed that Amsoil has their "Synchromesh" fluid. Has anyone run this in their cars, and how does it compare to the Royal Purple? The RP Synchromax is now pushing $19/qt while the Amsoil Synchromesh is roughly $12/qt (and will likely be slightly less for me with the hookup). I am looking at running exclusively Amsoil in my vehicles in the future, and also converting my friend's vehicles as well, but am not sure what I should do when it comes to transmission fluids for the MTX-75's.

I'm running it. Been running it for almost 2 years. Great warm weather fluid. Knotchy when cold. I'm switching to RP as soon as weather warms up...

TBH the smoothest shifting SVT I've driven is my other SVT w Steeda shifter and Mercon 3 ATX fluid. Go figure...
