anyone have a nintendo nes laying around?

I've got one. Its in the box in the orignal plastic with the instructions, original controller in great condition. I also have the gun and duck hunt that came with it, as well as the power pad. Only thing is its not for sale.... Just bragging if thats anything to brag about :) Hopefully one day it will be worth something substancial.

just get a "massiah nintendo" at crazy game. it plays nintendo's games.

well you beat me to it, your spellings a bit off.

THE SYSTEM IS AWSOME [I preordered it months before it came out]... The instruction manual is worth the cost of the system alone [you'll understand when you see it].

I would recommend passing on their wireless controllers [great quality but they just dont "play" well]

heres a bit of info on it

About as much as an Atari 2600

$100. LOL!

Ooooohhhhh... fill a brother in on this place. Those top-loaders are the ones to get. You don't have to jam a friggin' piece of folded-up cardboard in the machine to hold the game down on the contacts.

just got back. the name of the store is called "the toy box" and it's in the summit place mall. really nice guy owns it. i just bought a new toploader clone, mario bros/duck hunt, and the gun for $50.

he had one top loader clone left after that, though i'm sure he can get more in.

Looks like I'll be visiting that fine gent at The Toy Box this weekend... I've got an old NES system that still works pretty well, but it's getting a little pissy about which games it wants to let me play. Thanks for the heads-up on that joint, Mx...

Good to see some other fans of the old-school game consoles... I've currently got an Atari 2600, Intellivision II, NES and a Sega Genesis hooked up on my 32" down in the basement. The PS2 and the Dreamcast have their spot upstairs on the big TV.

oooh, Intellivision was the cat's arse when I was a kid . . . I kept playing mine long after I got my original NES.

this place has a couple of those, too!

they have colecovisions, commodores, the whole nine!

fwiw, that top loader clone i bought didn't work (it wouldn't power up), and when i went back, i ended up getting a refurbed and upgraded original NES, which is kinda cool.

duck hunt FTW!

Don't kid yourself, Rara... it still is. :D Played some Burgertime a few weeks back and it's still as cool as ever.

Quoted for great truth!

I remember playing that ridiculous Astrosmash for hours on end, but my favorite was Shark! Shark!, and some of the intellivoice games were fun too, like B-17 bomber, and Space Spartans. And of course, Burgertime was the stuff :D

BTW, I think my folks have all my old Intellivision carts still (i doubt the overlays are still around) and I'm headed home for the holidays . . . any games in particular you are looking for??? (Don't ask me to list because I'm pretty sure I don't remember them all, lol, but we had a bunch)

And everyone else knows that "then" is when something comes after something else and "than" is when your relating one thing to another.

And everyone else knows that "your" is used in the possessive form, while "you're" should be used as "you are."
