A set of them just showed up on a local car forum. They were custom drilled for a cougar. Just wondering if anyone has them on their car and if they can post pics. Sorry that the pic is so small. The wheels are 19" RH evolutions

well its 64268420353 to 1 in favor of me getting the wheels. looks like i'll pick them up saturday

i wouldnt race with those wheels on there. thats just insane! i just wanna be blingin' for SZ. i figure these are a thousand times better than my stock e0's that are curbed, dented, and scorched

And kill any chance of good acceleration off the line with a stock 2.5L.

who says i have a stock 2.5L? i have ford racing wires

I don't race either, but when I had my 18" Konigs on, I wanted to smash my car into a wall. I hated it. They were only 22 lbs, which is about three pounds more than E1's, but because of the size, my launches were horrible.

17" 15 lb O.Z. wheels suit me much better. :p

yeah, acceleration will be slowed down a bit, but if thats what your looking for go for it! the 19's in my oppinion look the best on a good drop. but i wouldn't personally run them. 18's are perfect size, and 17's just look too small in the CSVT's wheel wells IMO!

yeah. when i race, i'll be back on the stockers. but my motor isnt anywhere close to being race ready. so for now, its just bling factor :)

An interesting observation. If you couldn't see the tires, I might agree but since you generally have the same tire diameter riding on 19's as you would on 16's (or 17's) wouldn't the wheel wells be equally "filled up"? Sometimes, depending on the wheels, it looks too much like people are running wagon wheels. Make no mistake, I'd be running 19's with my car's drop but I haven't arrived at the point where I think my EO's look bad (or small) enough to replace them. Also, dropping the car tends to fill up the wheel wells as a bonus.

Well karl it does fill it and it doesn't. See adding wheels the center hub to the ground. Adds height.... Look at goonz car after he put on Mikey's 18's. You need a drop when you go larger diameters. Now 19's you would be riding like a 4x4 kinda. 17's are nice but they do look smaller to me for some reason. Maybe too much tire still who knows. I think 18's look the best. 16 or 17/s for racing.

My 18's are 17lbs. I wish they were 14lbs but what ever lol.

I guess I'm having a senior moment. It's an optical allusion of sorts that gives the 4X4 effect because the tire sidewall is shorter but the overall tire diameter is the same as stock if you'd done the correct +1, +2, etc. calculations. Otherwise your speedometer would be off. In the case of stock wheels, lowering the car "fills" the wheelwells. And yes, 17's should look smaller than 19's because there is a two inch difference in wheel diameter. But as far as "filling" the wheelwell, what I'm trying to say is that no matter what size wheels you have, the wheelwells should look filled when the car is lowered. If you can only see the wheels then yes, bigger wheels will look bigger inside the wheelwells. When I bought my car, it had some funky alloy 15's on it but I swear that when viewed from some angles, the wheelwells looked just as filled as they do now - maybe even more so. The car was already lowered when I got it.
