Anyone thinking about doing a 3.FIVE swap?

yeah. on my 3L i have enough trouble making the optima battery fit and the iac fit. both dent my hood. the oil cap also rubs a little bit. but it looks sexy in there. someday i'll make an escape uim fit.

I used an optima battery and it fit just fine in the stock location, the power and ground didnt quite work though so I had to cut and reroute those since power is on the opposite side on a ford.

Back in the day we discussed putting a complete 3L how-to and FAQ. Lots of threads by individuals DID in fact do that but we didn't sticky them per se because there are SO MANY combinations for the 3L conversion in the tour.
Many of us felt that if we did that we would contain new people to just copying others and thinking "inside the box," dooming them to repeating what others do.
I guarantee you our site is extremely creative and has some very talented people. IN fact, the numbers of these type of people is disproportionately high compared to say the nissan/honda/mustang forums where most everything is cookie cutter.
No one can even debate the merits of changes because most all of them do things exactly the same way!

That is another reason I don't mind most newbs asking the same things as before if they show a little intelligence in the process.
