This is the second time that Steph's car has been in a hit and run. :cry:

Today she went to clean the snow off of her car and there it was, someone hit the front bumper. :crazy: Apparently someone coming into her apartment complex cut the wheel to close to her car and nailed it. Of course, it's not something that can be buffed out either.

The last time it was the back bumper on the driver's side and this time the front passenger side. :help: Of course there was the arseclown that hit her back driver's side bumper in the parking lot of the mall too, but he stuck around.

Maybe she needs the salt! :laugh:

People in general just suck. Walking around Somerville, I've witnessed so many people hit one or two cars while parallel parking, get out of their car, assess the damage (on their OWN car only!) and decide it's "not too bad" and walk away. Reason #82 I sought out an apartment with a parking spot.

Sorry to hear about the damage. Will insurance cover it, or is this another out-of-pocket repair?

People do suck anymore. WTH happened to people being polite? Damn, it really seems that everyone is out for themselves anymore, to hell with doing the right thing. :shrug:
 
hey not all of use are that bad there are just a bunk of ****ing *******s out there ... there are just to many people that can't drive right ...

Brian, do you know of any reasonable shops in the area? We got the insurance money from the clown in the parking lot and I figure it'll be easier to get it all fixed at the same time since they'll have the paint.

Or, any CEG'ers up there that can paint?

thats terrible...whatever happened to taking resposability for your actions, hope she gets it fixed quickly...im sure MA is too far to travel to paint or id ask my buddy for a 2 for 1 deal, haha
 
yes they are. they are all bad. i think CT's state moto should be

"merge? what? i have the right of way!"

since every CT driver just comes right on the highway. I think I have almost been hit like 20 times in the 10 months ive worked in CT
 
I have never seen soo many ricers as I did in CT..Bob would concur that with me as well..oo and yea they are terrible drivers except for Tony :)

Where are you in MA? I already have the paint. I got it to have her side skirts painted and there is plenty to do the front and rear bumpers, plus some damage that wasn't fixed from the first hit and run.

Bah, I'm guilty of that as well. I always try to speed up to highway speeds while I'm still on the onramp. People on the highway see me coming on and speed up themselves (at this point they're in my blind spot) because they assume I'm going to be like any regular Joe Idiot who comes onto the highway at 30mph and they want to get in front of me. Consequently I end up cutting people off as I merge onto the highway. Maybe I should just drive onto the highway at 30mph like everyone else :ponder:

Some r still around, but in very few numbers. A lady one time open her drives door on a windy day and it took off out of her hand and into my contours power mirror and pretty much munched it. :)

I was working at good old S&S and was going out to lunch, hopped in the car and the lady jumped out her SUV and knocked on my window.

She said she was waiting about and hour, and was just about to leave a note. She pointed to the mirror which I didn't notice was missing until she pointed. She said go get a quote and either ins, or she could pay but had all her info in hand...

I got out looked at it, asked her how her door was. She said fine, she seem a little nervous. I started to say well, if I went to the dealer we could be looking at some money I'm sure, she said whatever I would like to do... So, me being me told her... I was looking on ebay and saw a power mirror for the tour and it was 45 bucks (I can't remember the correct price at the time) but it was cheap, even with shipping. She kinda looked at me strange... So I shop for parts I dont' need anywho she asked if that would be fine and what about having it installed? Well I explaned that it is very simple to replace, and I would do it myself. So she mailed me a check (could of just paid me there) maybe for her own proof we settled or something. And it was done.

down that way, not really, knock on wood, we haven't had to take our cars in for issues like this ...

But up this way you have CCC which painted my car and actually worked on a contour just the other week, I saw it outside for pick up and it had one new headlight so you can guess what happened .... other then that I was concidering Mastercraft in Windsor Locks, they repainted Jsmiths green svt and he was very happy with the work ...

Matty, you are merging the proper way, its the arse holes that speed up to try and stay in front of you that suck.
i think lowell is the mecca for people who like to cut off other people.
i was cut off 5 times last night within a 1/2 mile stretch of road.
it was mostly people pulling out of side roads, they dont stop at the end of the road, they just pull right out and then give you the bird as you are sliding to a stop to keep from hitting them.
 
ahhh lowell...i get teary eyed everytime i hear about my old stomping grounds, haha, in High School (7 years ago, haha) some B*t*h opened her door and hit my mustang (67 with custom paint) and never told me, found the paint chipped hours later and couldnt remember who was parked next to me...they never said a word...i was furious...accidents happen, i understand that completely, but fess up

15 years ago, i had the Elky parked in the student lot with friends cars on each side to protect it. at this point the paint was aperfect mirror, you could read a watch in it from 5 feet away.
well i came out of the building one day to go home and found 3 boot prints accross my hood. ground sand into the paint right down to bare metal.

i knew who it was but couldnt prove it.

yup, its up to the person getting onto the highway to blend into traffic, weather you need to speed up or slow down, people on the highway are suppose to hold their speed ...

and that brings me to an idiot the other night, on the parkway there are some onramps that have stop signs .. now normally people are nice and pull over but this one time I didn't because I didn't feel like it and I was getting off at the rest area just very shortly up the highway ... well the car in front of me pull over and then the guy pulls onto the highway, I layed on my horn as I went around him ... he didn't even try to get up to speed as quickly as he could, I always get up to speed as fast as possible ...
