Arizona CSVT'S !!

With this being fathersday weekend, I don't know if I'll be able to do it. I'll have to see what's going on.

I'm not sure just how "fun" the route I suggested is... but should be a nice route. When ever I have to do some long term datalogs... or testing out changes to the car, I like running up Scottsdale Rd from the 101 to Carefree Hwy (nice dippy road, but pretty straight). I've never actually done the entire route I suggested... but from looking at google-maps, it should be interesting. Any drive longer than that, and I'll need to wait until I change out my fuel pump. Also, there are occasional Scottsdale cops... but their radars are pretty noisy and usually are detected at least a mile away. :)

The Canyon run is very curvy and challenging. There are discussions on focaljet about doing one sometime soon, but not really soon. I would recommend a daytime run of that before you attempt it at night. That's the shortest but most difficult drive I've gone on with the FJ guys... a focus even went "off-roading", but luckily not where the sheer cliffs (w/o guard rails) were.

Noticed a silver csvt behind me when I was getting on the 101 from 32nd Ave this afternoon. Was that you Nezer?

Shurly was. Nice exhaust work you got there.
Heh.. I was trying not to get on it too much, because the rasp is embarrassing... but I had to get over to get on the freeway. My silencer inserts are supposed to be here monday. Dunno where you came from... I was checking my mirrors to get over then saw you. :)

So we meeting up today ?
I'm not able to this weekend. Not only is it already a busy weekend (tomorrow), but I'm stuck at work all day today.

I came from the 101, Then I saw a Black SVT. I figgured it was shaff, untill I saw you superleggars and PT interior.

Im up for a meet just have to say where and quickly.

That was fun... we'll have to do it again. I just wish it weren't so hot, but the weather was alot nicer on the northern section.

For reference: We took Cave Creek north from the 101 up to Carefree Hwy. Carefree Hwy east to Scottsdale Rd. Scottsdale Rd south to Butherus and took a break at the gas station there. From there... went up to Frank Lloyd Wright and rode it east all the way until it hit Shea. Took Shea east up to the Fountain Hills overlook for a break. Then came back the reverse of that route. Nice drive... I wish I would have known there were no cops on that route though.

Definitely not as exciting as the FJ drives.. but was still cool. You guys should join up next time.

Ahh ****, I didn't think anything was going to end up happening tonight. I'll have to pm my number to you guys, so I don't have to check back here as much.

^ yah for sure. you turd i wasn't able to get on the computer that day so i was was in contact with scott trying to get us in contact with one another. besides if your gonna go cruising with us your gonna have to use the right foot a little harder to keep up

all in all it was a nice cruise, fun when we got on it ... i noticed scott didn't mention my car > his car when we goosed it a couple times and 'raced' it was fun tho. ended up puttin some smack down on a 98-ish turbo charged maxima too on our way back down Cave creek on our way home. Really impressed with how the ole dirty did that whole night.

HID's FTMFW when we were cruising side by side (we did this pretty much the whole time @ about 55-65 mph) when we werent soo creeped out by hiding cops and would rail down to around ~90-100 then slow back down. but you could see the road up ahead very nicely. scott has HID 4300's and i have HID 6000's... lit up the road perfectly side by side

anyhow we're doing it again in a few weeks regardless if scotts got his car's to-do bug fix list done. then he mentoined a longer/bigger cruise `round August we can do, when all his bugs are fixed (a few more thing will be done to my car by then too) ie. struts, y-pipe, magnaflow res., plugs & wires.... anyhow you S'REKCUF missed out on a good time. don't miss out on the next one coming up in a few weeks!

Yeah... I need to find my title so I can finally get my SVT plaque. I really should have done it before they started charging for it.

Also... I'd better be faster after I fix my crap

^ you don't need your plaque for that registry, thats just to keep track of who owns what csvt (by year/build #/Color)... Unless you don't even know your build #... and if that's the case, Shame on you!!!

yah... i don't know what my build number is. I called them about 3 years ago with my VIN, but they said they couldn't give out any of the info w/o me first faxing a copy of the title to them.

still waitin on those gauges...

*sigh*

Scott, i hope that we have time saturday night to get to my car and have the ypipe/res installed... have you been cleared for Friday night yet ?

So i got the ypipe and magnaflow res installed... car sounds a little different, quieter... ehmm... its a helluva lota faster in the mid range, evey shift im right back into its' power band so thats good news, it drives totally different so it'll take some gettin used to, to adjust.

Scott: hows the subframes/strut bar working out ? how long did you stay till u were finished ?

heh... left at 3:00am, and only got the front strut tower bar installed (PITA!). I'm going to bring my subframe connectors to a muffler shop some time this week and see how much they'll charge to weld them up. And realigning the exhaust... my trubendz cat pipe and Bosal don't line up perfectly, and the cat pipe needed to be longer... so I'll be ordering the 2 flanges and have a shop make me a custom "test pipe" that will fix the alignment.
