ATX non-intercooled kit pics

The tranny is just like the other weak links we have with the MTX someone will step forward and have some stronger parts made only if there is aftermarket support for them to do so. Remember the mazda 6 earlier generation have the same CD4E tranny and so do the taurus and I am building a roots style blower for them if enough people get on the wagon together they will buid something for the tranny. I am only doing this because I had a customer who bought a kit and now it is cheaper to build the kit then to give my profits up..... but you must realize the 2.5 5 psi only makes 235whp with 220wtq not like they are making 300whp or so . Joey

Well I'm just saying my stock 2.5 makes 130 maybe, and this trans hates it.

final pics before I send it off to be jigged so I wanted to show the progress.

What kind of research do you perform to determine whether or not developing these kits will be cost effective?

Earlier I explained I had a customer buy a kit who thought the kit was for a ATX so it was cheaper for me to build this kit then to ship it back pay shipping twice and refund his money plus he is going to get the tranny built too on the side so when it breaks he changes it and I had many of customers call and ask so really I don't care if the kit sells this one time or not I made my money regardless. I do this for the enjoyment I by no way going to get rich doing this but I will say I covered all the areas. We will build this kit by order only not stock it like we do for the MTX now the Mazda 6 may fit since the kit is much farther out than the MTX but I am looking for a spare mazda 6 to build a kit for it.

I wish you and your customer the best of luck on this sucker....

Anybody recall Russel 3.0 or whatever his handle was? That atx ended badly, though IIRC, he did a pretty nice burnout to torture the sob to imminent death.

last pic of the installed kit also will sold with a turbo blanket is a must due to the piping. I will keep you posted on the customer build up. Joey

oh darn camera took a crap going buy a new one tomorrow for the pics

nice of you to offer the ATX crowd an FI option. looking at the picture, i can't help but think there must be a better orientation for the outlet of the compressor. is it not possible to "rotate" the compressor outlet without also "rotating" the turbine inlet? in other words, are the two halves inseparable?
