started my grill last nite. just gotta do a lil triming and it will be done. besides paint for the oval. not real hard just look and look again before you trim.

Don't trim ANYTHING unless you 1000% have to. If you cut it too small - no free replacements. And I know ALL of them will fit I checked every single piece.

Yes. Just wash it out REAL good when it's done, so it doesn't eat my hands or the box you send it in.

PS I hope you garage is REALLy well ventilated othewrwise the gassed-off acid will attack everything metal in the garage. Cars, screws, nails, tools, you name it - it'll all rust!

i was refering to the back part of the grill not the mesh. so the chrome and the black rear will still sit flush with each other. i am just waiting for paint to dry now..

If anything the vary edges on the long end may need a slight trim. there are also these little plastic fins on the black part that need to be trimmed off so it can screw together flush - that must be what you're talking about.

HolyrollerzC3 - I just finished prep sanding the oval and painted it with a paint primer. Tomorrow when it is dry I will put it together and send out your kit. Then all you will need to do is mask off the mesh area and paint the oval. You will NOT need to disassemble the oval ever. Doing that only increases the chances of cracking it when you reassemble it - Like Mr Goonz did. That forced me to repair his oval mount tabs so
I could screw it back together again.

I recieved my mesh today and I cannot wait to install it! It looks great and is excellent quality. It did look kind of dirty though so I used a chrome/aluminum polish on it and it came out AMAZING! I am so pumped for this stuff to go on. I just can't decide if I should throw it on this week or just leave the Elky on until all the snow b/s is over with...

yea i took the fins off and just a lil bit around the entire inside edge it fit like a glove i have it painted and already on the car. i am putting in the front bumper on friday will try and get some pics some time.

I wouldn't paint any of the mesh, cos when it starts to chip from road debris it'll look awful. I would leave the mesh as it is and paint everything else white. I'll even mask off the mesh on the oval for you if it is such a hassle. :troutslap:
