Auto window up when alarm armed

I've been thinking of this, and finally drew up a diagram.

Reason I thought of it is because on my Audi if you hold the key to the lock position, it will roll up the windows/sunroof. I want this to be automatic with maybe the trunk release output of an alarm. (Reason I say trunk release is I wanna play with my Audi first, and the trunk is unlocked with the doors, so it wouldn't need the trunk release).

On my Audi instead of the 5 diodes, I would use a single wire to the wire that controls all the windows. But I also wanna put this on my Sentra, which doesn't do the automatic window up thing.

Anyway, here it is... check it out, what do you think? DEI makes a timer module for like $20 on Ebay.

hmm... wtf... resize my pic? let's try this...

DEI makes the 529T for window automation... usually the window automation is tied into the arming of the car, so when you hit the lock on your remote, the system locks the doors as well as rolls the windows up. I'm assuming you can input a positive or negative pulse to activate the module. I'd be able to give you more details if I could find the manual for the 529T, directed does not list it on there site when you search the module number... but that is what I'd use, at least for the contour.... I use my trunk release on my remote now and then, but using the trunk output is not a bad idea at all... Were you planning on doing this to the factory FOB or an aftermarket unit...?

I was gonna do it to my Audi since it doesn't have keyless entry and doesn't need the trunk output of an aftermarket system.

It just got me thinking because to use the factory window rollup, I need a unit that will hold voltage on the lock wire as long as i hold the button down, but I doubt they do that. I'm sure it's just a single pulse no matter how long you hold it.

I also want to add power windows to the rear... that's another project! hehe

Hmm... interesting... I just found out the power locks on my Audi are actually vacuum powered... that explains the hollow hose and no electrical wires going to the trunk lock!

The 529T should accomplish that from DEI, it has a timed output for window rollup, pulse it and send the signal to the lock assuming that will do it....

Most VW, Audi, and some BMW are vaccum.. always fun doing locks in those... have to change the lock and unlock output to a longer pulse time then usual...

if you ever make this system for the stock alarm on the contour...please put my name down for the group buy..Ta...G.

VAG.com(the software) is your friend.

I've done a crap load of tricks to my avant

Wow... software is pretty cool... Thanks!

Only thing I would want to do now is the automatic door locks, but I know that I'm missing the module under the rear seat I hear about on other A4s with keyless entry, so it might not work.

I'm not sure if I can help you with the part number as pre98s are a tad bit different that post 98s, b5 and b6 are nearly similar except the avants; but whenever you get the central module and vag.com, use this as reference: http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/audiB5.html

and if you need the decoder for your computer you can download the pack here

edit: I think your part no. is KWP-1281
