Instead of heavily modded contours and the such how about pics of the ones that have seen use and have gotten use somewhere from point a to point b more that once? I would like to see cars with history and maybe a cracked windshield.

here's might very very lightly modded contour with 140k miles worth of A to B driving...and actually i had a cracked windshield a few months ago, but replaced it, cause thats how you maintain a vehicle

She gets me from point A to point B every day. She actually has a cracked windshield in this picture. Thank God for reflections on glass to mask the boo-boo! Limited mods include audio equipment, KKM short ram, vinyl eyelids and b-pillar blackout, side markers, and tint.

Since this pic, she's had the Deer Mod performed, on the fly at 50 mph (what I had slowed down to by the time it decided to commit suicide on the side of my car). So I now have a teal drivers mirror from my parts car, two dented doors, and a dented rear wheel arch.



One day I'll get her back into shape. Once my rally car is running and becomes my daily driver I'll have the time fix her. Ahhh the rally car. I call her "Bluebonnet." Bought for $200, non running with a shot wiring harness, various dents, cracked windshield, faded hood, no radio, but brand new tires!

The only mod performed to date was sandblasting and painting the valve cover, since I had to remove it to install a new gasket. Other work performed to date is installing a new wiring harness. She still doesn't start. She will though!

soon as I can get some pix up, I'll post up #2318....she is my DD, just hit 180k, cracked windshield, hail damage (tornado.....might explain later), side skirt "cubes" missing in front, chrome stripe between taillights peeling off, hole in cowl (area between windshield and hood), rear bumper grill falling off, carpet tore up, steering wheel leather VERY worn, sunroof not working (bad motor), vibration at 65-80mph, needs alignment BADLY, yellowed headlights, FACTORY SPARK PLUGS......

Mods:

Broken (not installed correctly) underbody LED light kit, LED shift knob, resonator deleted/replaced with straight pipe.

Ahhhh damn. I forgot all about the hail damage on the roof of my SilFro from golf ball sized hail. :nonono: ** sigh**

i would post up pics of my car, but i have the rear bumper off because i hit a bump in -19 degree weather and it cracked the corner right off it! trying to fiberglass it but it looks like i might just buy a new bumper so sad. and my windshield has 2 rock chips on it and one sideskirt has a scrape on teh bottom of it. other than that', and one little dent on the drivers door, and a small crack on the front bumper (bottom) it's immaculate. everything thats broke can be easily replaced minus the window.

Ya the original owner was a relative and for some reason thought the spark plugs were "lifetime"......

haha, thats awesome! once i hit 105...it started sputtering in second...then third...then fourth...all in the course of a day, took a plug out and the gap was WAY off! 180k is impressive

Heres my ride:

Thats my DD. Almost 85k on her but only about 4k from me. You may notice the front end is darker cause the previous owner hit a deer and the shop didnt exactly do a great color match. That will be fixed though. Hopefully by Carlisle. Only mod in those pics are the wheels but as of yesterday i put in a sound system and a KKM intake.

Just passed 106k miles, I haven't put but maybe 1000 miles on it since I bought it In January.

I know, I know...I need to put winter wheels on it. I'm so broke, I can barely afford the gas.

I'll have to find pics of my current car. It's not the rattiest looking one you'll see, but I don't wash it regularly, it's got plenty of minor dings and scrapes, and I usually have to remind myself that even though fixing it (and fixing it up) doesn't make it worth any more to anyone but me, at least it's cheaper than a new car.

And I LOVE driving it.
