Best location for subwoofer?98 contour se

Hey there ya’ll! In sake of achieving the required two post for newbs, thought i would inquire about some of your favorite sub setups??? Anyone had luck with under-seat setups? Or am I pretty much looking at sticking it in the trunk… honestly have never had a vehicle with a trunk that i put a sub in. ( Ive owned allot of trucks/suvs/hatchbacks ) I am definitely not a fan of the cars you pull up next too and all you hear is the trunk rattling from the sub… maybe im ignorant and it sounds good inside the car-
but man i can’t stand that sound from outside lol.
Educate me and/pr just tell me about some of your favorite setups!!

I dunno how the trunks are on the Contours, but on the Cougar I put this sub right where the stock 6-disc changer lived. It even fit neatly under the cover for it. Fills out the sound plenty for my needs.
