Motorcraft makes good oil filters. I wouldn't hesitate to run one if I were you, I run them in both my vehicles. I believe they're made by Purolator.

For the price, I don't think you can beat Motorcraft Semi-synthetic. Its a great oil, and is less expensive than many conventional motor oils. $65 or $70 for an oil change is too rich for my blood.
 
+1, the ms3's filter is a mc and the oem is made by same company. I only use those and Wix filters. PureOne is good too.
 
The local distributor was a real nice guy and drop shipped personally to my house for only 50 bucks for 6 quarts of the signature series, with the option to pay later. Anyway, got the motorcraft filter and will be doing my oil change next weekend.
 
Anyone have an issue with Amsoil Signature Series not being API certified/licensed? From what I hear its not certified because it has a high zinc and phosphorus content which poisons the converter/02 sensors.
