Body Color Hightower Pic Request

I just think its hard to see because of the dark color, but it really doesn't look any different than a regular hightower to me :shrug:

no they are regular bulbs so there is no need for an electronic flasher or anything. just plug them in. i have them in my pre98 and you cant see the bulb at all until it is turned on.
 
Those are what I use in my car (or have...). IMO they burn out more frequently, when I had them last I replaced them every year it seemed.

i have had them in my car for over a year now and they havent burned out yet. :crosses fingers: i always drive with them on too so its not like they dont get used either.
 
ok guys it looks like i'm going to attempt this tomorrow. I got a couple questions first.
When painting on the eyebrows on the inside of the lenses should i use a high temp paint? Do I clear coat on the inside? or should i just paint the outside of the lenses with primer, paint, then clear coat?

Secondly, when painting the housing, do i prime, paint, then clear coat?

I did mine black and all i did was clean it really goo b4 hand and used krylon fuzion paint which i think is mainly used on plastic but I could be wrong. As far as the eyelids go I dont think you need high temp paint for it or clear if it is going on the inside. Be sure you tape it up good though and make sure the tape is stuck completely or the runny silver will find its way to any creases and it sucks trust me:blackeye:
 
Thanks for the help. I'm gonna pick up some painters tape and some clamps today. Hopefully everything will go smoothly.
 
I hate living in a small town:mad: I could never find anything! Well I had some trouble finding the paint today. Anyone know of any other paint i can use besides Duplicolor?
 
Well the project is finally underway after waiting 2 weeks for the paint:mad: I'll be sure to take pics after its all over

The bottoms are painted. I originally had them painted on the inside of the lens (seen in the night pics), but they didn't look that great so i also painted on top the lens (day pics). I think they came out ok, but i was having some issues with the paint drying smooth in the cold and windy air. It doesn't look bad but not 100% happy with them yet. I may end up buying some FG tops and repainting the bottoms later. We'll see
