hey everyone i hate to be the one to post yet another exhaust thread, but i havent heard anyone talk about the borla xs mufflers? i cant afford the regular borlas, but these are about 150 for 2 and if they are anything like the regular ones i think they are the mufflers for me. shame they dont have xs tips, the regular borla tips are 10 dollars less than the mufflers! let me know everyone because ill order them tomorrow. thanks.

The Borla ProXS mufflers are what the Trubendz kits use. They sound super sexy, and you can't tell a difference between them and a regular series Borla muffler. Plus, they also carry Borla's Million mile warrenty. Oh, and if you do a search on Froogle for "Borla ProXS", you can find some for about $50-$60 a piece, so like $100-$120 for two. You'll love the sound of a Borla exhaust, trust me.

you beat me to it.. yes trubendz has the pro xs.. and they are very sexy.. i have the borla non res set up and i love it very much.. i want to get a sound clip but my friends make fun of me when i ask them to hold the camera for me.. they say that my ar isn't worthy.. and that its just a contour. f them anyways.. once i get the sound clip ill put it up with the rest of the clips in the sound clip thread

what would you guys say would sound better, 18 and 12 inch resonators and 2 borla xs mufflers or one muffler where the resonator is and 2 resonators for mufflers?

Honestly, I don't know. lol I have a non-resonated Borla kit on my Cougar, and I think it sounds great. Over on NECO, we're not as into resonators as you guys are, so no one that I know of has put a resonator on their Borla kit. There's no rasp to the exhaust, and the tone is deep and powerful. There is some mild drone at highway (70+ mph) speeds, but then again, I have a testpipe installed so the effect is increased. I'd go with the non-resonated Borla kit personally, but the decision is yours to make.

my set up is borla pro xs where the res goes.. then straight out. thats where the sound is. i love it, like the coug guy says.. no rasp.

thats cool, problem is that right now there is no cat and headers are coming and i dont want a noisy exhaust. so im going for a setup thats almost too quiet so when the headers get in there they even everything up just right.

I have no cat either, plus a msds y-pipe, and its not too loud for me. But, I'll probably be adding a borla resonator once I get my headers in the spring.
