Hey who ever built them. Learn what your doing so that you can install them with ease like the stock ones. Like umm how about starting the plate maybe a 1/4" more inward on both sides so that it doesn't hit the subframe?!. Wait your canadian soo what is that 3cm for you? Seriously and how about leave room to be able to remove the ball joints if need in the future???? a little for sight might help

Seriously! WOW

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha its funny cuz i know who your talking about :D

Seriously had the old one out in like 10 mins took almost 2 hours to get the new one in. Where the plate he welded in was it limited LCA movement downward. Soo It would hit on the subframe before you could get the ball joint in the knuckle. Freaking LAME DESIGN!

If they have rubber bushings, you won't have to worry about replacing the ball joints as they NEVER outlast the bushings. Unless some dumb arss technician rips the boot while doing another job.

No they look like the stock 4 bolt LCA's except with a plate at the bottom of them

Don't know how many times you've done this job (I've done it 10-15X), but it's always easier removing them than installing them.

Also, why didn't you simply grind the excess metal away with an angle grinder? We're talking about 5 minutes at most, vs. 2 hours (as you suggest).

It would be much easier if the person who made them(YOU) would just leave a 1/4" off soo that the plate didn't make contact with the subframe.

Agreed, especially since there isn't a noticable clearance issue until after the arm is bolted to the subframe and well into the re-assembly process. All it would take is shorten the plate by 2-3cm so that when its welded to the arm to resolve the issue of the plate hitting the front cradle/subframe preventing enough suspension drop to install the balljoint into the knuckle.

If they are mine, how come I didn't have trouble installing them on Aaron's 98?

I have a theory and it's called "Lack of experience leads to bad decisions and install takes more time than it should". I'm sure that next time you'll be able to do it much quicker with your new found experience/knowledge.

I have personally installed 3 different prs. of boxed A arms and it NEVER took me 2 hrs.

Considering these were the ones on Aaron car, I'm finding it a bit hard to believe that you didn't run into clearance issues with them. (especially upon further inspection you could clearly see marks on the LCA's where they were hitting the subframe...)

As for the lack of experience comment, I think thats a bit uncalled for considering who it's directed towards.

I'm not posting to slander you or your product, but rather offer up some constructive critism in hopes that it may help better your future product.

I would guess it was aimed at Steeda since he apparently lacks social skills. Your addition to the subject was professional and non-offensive.

Non-offensive critisism is typically more useful than a pointed rant.

The time frame was directly related to the supply of, or should I say lack of, funds.

It wasn't all my fault, I did tell you in Febuary that I needed the car finished by the end of March. This was after you told me Wes, Jacquie and my brother if I had the money you could have it finished in a week! I got the remaining money together and told you I had the money 2weeks later after I had lost my job and you didn't get the car finisehd until the end of April which caused me to go close to a $1000 over budget. I'm not going to start a pissing match here it's done with and in the past and have moved on :).

As for the boxed LCAs. They were fantastic and worked awesome and I will be getting another set done in the future to put on my current SVT.

Put it this way... Brad made the parts for Aaron, and they were sold to Steeda. Neither buyer knew that Brad had made the "custom" parts to NOT fit the car. When Brad installed them, 3 times as he claimes, it obviously wouldn't take him 2 hours because he was already aware of the fact the pieces needed to be cut down in order to fit properly. Therefore I believe it is highly uncalled for when Brad makes comments regarding others lack of experience or knowledge. The fact is the pieces were not made to fit the car the way they were assumed to be, considering they were custom made by Brad, which is why it most likely took as long as it did. Food for thought.

My point was that I've purchased several custom items from Brad, and fitment has always been perfect. He's also sold many custom items to other CEG'ers without a complaint (at least public). So if there was a fitment issue, perhaps this should have been brought up to him directly instead of a public rant, and that would have been more constructive.
