burning plastic smell

jacked the car up today to take a look. pulled back the fender liner and saw nothing, looked at a lot of stuff. all lights are ruled out. no leaking fluid. right now the next thing to look at is the underside of the fuse box. i will get to that soon.

but i do have one question that dose not effect this smell. how close is the abs sensor supposed to be to the drive shaft? very very close?

pulled the fuse box out and looked inside and around it.

nothing to indicate melting or producing the smell. meh o well.
