Carbon Fiber Shop

I think they are more into just selling parts once the initial mold is already made... they are begging people left and right to buy their Cougar parts and keep setting up small run GB's... I'm assuming its easier to just grab a mold and make something vs the research and development needed on making a new mold.

in the time to make a mold for eyebrows and then test fit them for us, take pictures, answer questions and then get the GB rolling they probably could crank out 50+ already molded pieces and make much more cash in their mind.

50 pieces at 300-500 each is way more money in the pocket than 50 eyelids at 50 or less a set to us.

it sucks and what sucks more is that I am a past customer of theirs and it was like pulling teeth to get any sort of response from them... I would have probably bought at least 1 of everything they made for the Contour.

yeah sure but how much development would there be for eyelids, I mean come on there was an offer to send an existing set to be copied, how ****ing hard is that to do ... its not like they need to develop it from scratch, thats been done already ...

im done with this..sorry

Im just gonna paint the inside of my lens once I change projectors..it will be a much cleaner look then fiberglass, and I'll get away with it cause I have a black colored car :shrug:
 
thanks.. although I'm not sure on which hood you are referring to as the signature pic has 2 cars on it... unfortunately the Cougar leaves March 1st and heads to its new owner in Arizona :(

what really burns me is the fact that even if I get thru to him about how badly they screwed up over here and somehow light a fire under his ass half the people who wanted them are probably never going to think they are serious again unless product is actually physically shown.

I don't blame you .... who gets up interest and then doesn't follow through ... this is truely pathetic ... yeah they would need a product in hand to show before anyone would put money down ...

tell me about it, I made a post in the transactions feed back forum, which seems like the right place to me to say how unperfectional Top Shop has been towards CEG and everyone laughed because no one was ripped off ...

I'm sorry but poor customer service like this shouldn't go unaccounted for ...
 
Can't say you didn't try to warn them of the possibility that TopShop will only give them high hopes... but nothing else. Censoring that is just moronic.
 
From what I understand, Top Shop has produced parts for the Cougar already. The Cougar people have probably shown that they will buy LARGE amounts of their products. Face it, Contour people are as cheap as they get. How many people are even on the list for these eyelids? 20? Say they make a $30 profit on each set. That's $600!! Sorry, but that's not even enough for one of those employee's one week paycheck! Not to mention, you have to cut 1/3 of the people off of that "potential" list, as people on these boards always back out when it comes time to put their money where their mouth is. You guys say they'd "sell like hotcakes." Well, hotcakes to non-business owners might be 20 customers. But for someone trying to make a living, I'd personally go where the market is showing a little more demand than $600 worth of net income. :help:

True, but from what I've read here (don't visit NECO) is that Top Shop is practically begging Cougar owners to buy parts from them. I think it would be a wise decision to open up to a new market in the attempt to widen their customer base. It seems to me Top Shop is trying to squeeze the last bit of profits out of the Cougar crowd. Opening up to a completely new platform and clientele can only help a business grow. Today it's eyelids, but tomorrow it could be hoods, trunks, interior pieces, etc.

Top Shop basically burned a bridge that could potentially bring in a lot of income and w/ any business that's a :nonono:
