??clutch??

Dont even think about a Spec clutch they are totally not reliable. Only get a stock svt clutch. Do not lister to anyone that tells you te get Spec or you will be sorry like I was!

well i already ordered a luk clutch for $255. i would rather have the svt clutch but cash is way too low since i already replaced the rack and pinion, two outer tie rods and front wheel bearing and i bought the car only 2 weeks ago LOL

Tasso... please learn to rephrase yourself.

"Spec" is not a bad clutch.. "Spec" is a brand. Their "stage 2" clutch had episodes of glazing due to the kevlar material being heated.

Stage 1 is a nearly IDENTICAL clutch to the SVT stock replacement, with a slight gain in holding power.

Stage 3 is a HUGE jump in performance (not to mention the MOST POPULAR CLUTCH for our 3L, 2.5 FI, and 3L FI users.) THAT is a WONDERFUL clutch.

Please do a little research.

Stage 2 and 3 may have more holding power and bite, but the life of the clutch is also lessened due to the type of construction on both the 2 and 3. For an everyday drive stay with a stage 1.

Man... again.. clutch life is NOT documented as being lessened. I've got a stage 3... and there is ANOTHER stage 3 in my storage room that was used all throughout the ownership of the car by Warmonger. He pulled it and replaced it simply because he had it opened anyway, but it was nearly flawless in its life. Had hardly ANYTHING gone.

Please keep your "factual" statements solely based on facts, and your personal feelings on the matter should be stated as such. There is no factual data to support your theory.

I do agree, however, that for a N/A 2.5 SVT, stick with OEM or stage 1. You can drive a stage 3 in daily driving, rain or shine. trust me, and the countless others on this board.

Spec 1, Spec 2, Spec 3, Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3...What the.....?

Enough already!

Just get an ATX.
