Contour/Mystique was it your first?

This was my first car, its been 2.5 years. Bought it bone stock with 98,908 miles on it. Now I have 138K miles on it, pretty well moded as well :cool:
 
My Contour was the first car I bought new. The first car I've owned with a sunroof, a factory cd player, and a rear spoiler. The first car that I've put a documented 100K miles on (it now has 177K). I also took my wife on our first date in this car (12/1/01).

First car: 1968 Mustang Fastback 390 auto
First car not-a-ford: 1994 Chrysler Concorde, followed by a 1995 Dodge Intrepid (these two fit that ol' saying well: "Mopar, No car, Don't go far")
 
My first car was a 1997 Ford Contour GL. It use to be my sister's car since new in '97 until '01 when it was passed down to me for free. First car I modded,got a ticket,that got hit from behind, first car that I hit another car, and that I took to a club/strip club. I was getting bored of the pre98 look and wanted a post98 Tour; plus I wanted an SVT front.The car had the boring manual windows and had almost 90K. I sold it in '04 to my teenage sister-in-law who totalled it almost two years later.

I bought my '98 GL after I sold the other one in '04. I transferred all my mods from the old Tour to this one. It was the first car that I bought and with my own money. This one does have power windows, unlike my old one, and still has low mileage. I love the car, but it has some minor issues that need to be fixed.

My first car that i bought was my 98.5 Svt contour with 88k with blown motor.Replaced motor with brand new one.Now there 105k on the dash.New transmission about 4k ago 3rd gear syncro was going on it.So im hoping she lasts me some time now with new motor and drivetrain.
 
first car I "drove" was a 89 Tempo 5spd ... moved it around the driveway ...

learned to drive on my fathers 95 SE and my mothers Windstar .... the Contour is why I got mine ....

first car that I got was a 92 Tempo ... put a cd player in that and some fog lamps and a bike rack .... became my brother first car and a winter car for my dad for a year or two, then we donated it ...

my next car was my mystique ... first 5spd ... still ahve it and love it ...

third car is my Contour .... first really mod and sink money into, have love every minute of it ...
 
My first car was a 96 tour, that I purchased from my uncle for almost the same price I purchased my 98.5 tour, both have been totaled. the tour was the first car ever moded, got a ticket, car I enjoyed on a track. First road trip, (and all the other ones since):)
 
My tour is my first car.

Couldn't have imagined a better first car. It's not like the first car that most people say they have. I hear stuff such as when it started, it was great, stuff rated to a 'junker'. The contour isn't like that. My aunts even told me my tour is a much better car than their first cars.
 
First car ever owned was a 1988 Escort GL automatic. Boy I miss that car so bad. But I do love my contour....I will keep it until the doors fall off and the engine quicks working.
 
Not my first car, but first car with power windows, first car I bought on my own, and the beginning of (hopefully) a lifelong trend - first manual I've ever owned. Please note that the first manual car I drove was my brothers 98.5 Pacific Green Contour, basically the same exact options as mine!

Not my first car... My first car was a 90 Toyota Camry. I decked it out with a massive system, fully layered the interior in shag fur, and put some 15 inch player wire wheels on it... Oh and the curb feelers... Drove it to put 100,000 miles on it, then it died one day. Never figured out why. Ended up selling it for $150.

My first car was an orange 1974 VW Super Beetle, 4spd manual :) I "learned" how to drive a stick in it, but I got so fed up with it I told my mom I wanted a new car. Now I regret it :(

The CSVT is my first 5spd, the first manual I've been able to actually drive, the first car with power everything, the first car I financed on my own, and the only car I've had more problems with than all the cars I've owned, combined!!!!!

It is the LAST Ford I will buy!! But I'll love her until I decide to give her up to someone else :)
 
My SE is the first car I financed and paid for on my own. It is my first car after high school ( I had 2 while in HS).
My SVT is my first performance car and my first 5-spd car. It is also the first car I've owned with "luxury" options like leather/power seats sunroof, etc.

My SE brought me to this site and I have learned alot! I love both my Contours :eek:
 
Nope....For me this is my 2nd Car

My first car was a 1995 Chevy Lumiua, that was my HS Grad gift
( Milwaukee Riverside Class of 95 )

she was my pride & joy, & I won many races & shows ( mymonte.com )
with that car however, on a cold night in october of 2006, I was t-boned by an Milwaukee police officer and the car was totaled.

I Used the money from my lawsuit, to buy my Contour, and with many thanks to this site......I really enjoy my Contour SE....I don't see myself buying another car
 
The purchase of my '95 GL was my first loan, the car I learned to drive in and the car i drove to my first job. Its not my first car owned though, cause its still under my parents' names.
 
First car was a poopy taurus, it blew up, my FIRST REAL car was a white 98 zetec mercury mystique with 152,000 miles for a 1k. I had it about 8 months but then i made a bad decision, and i totaled it, i was goin about 80 before i blacked out and hit the median, my car wasn't that badly totaled for what happened, i was very fortunate to only break my leg and arm. Now I got a 99 Black with Midnight Blue interior Ford Contour Svt. I love this car its my first SVT and I must say i'm in love
 
Well my '95 SE was not my first car , which means my CSVT was not my first either - but my CSVT was my first brand-spankin'-new car :cool: .
My first car was my '63 MG Midget Mk.1 - my latest aquisition is my '66 Volvo 122 , and there were a whole mess in between :shocked: ...

I've owned an MG , a couple Triumphs , Chevys/Olds cars , IH Scout2 , Dodge , several VWs (air & water) , Fords , several Volvos , a mini , a few motorcycles and some other stuff I can't remember :crazy: .
