I dont think my fans are turning on because when I sit in traffic the temp gauge goes from 180 to 210 or so. I know my tune has them turn on before this since I have a 160 thermo. Anyone know how to test the relays?

Check your low speed fan dropping resistor.

If temp gets to 215 or 220, the high speed circuit should kick in, bypassing the low speed circuit.

Of course, since you're running a tune of some kind, all bets are off.

Turn on your A/C, the low speed circuit should be activated.

Also, check fuse F2 in the underhood fuse panel.

Mine had the same problem but it wasn't related to the relays. The connection to the motor was loose and at a certain postion, it won't turn on. I used zipties to secure it and has been working ever since. I'll replace it eventually but for now it does its job.

Fan circuit test

Fan circuit test

Easiest to see if fan comes on with A/C, that is Low speed. You might need to test the fan motor/wiring by using the method described in this topic: Fan test You could have a bad relay as well, and someone recently had a bad (melted) relay socket.

No fans with the AC on. I got almost up to 225 today sitting in traffic so I turned on my heater and opened the windows. If fuse F2 is the one that says dealer replace or w/e that one is fine. I also checked the cooling fan fuse. I pulled the relay out for the fans, no clue how to check them but they look like relays lol.

I have fans now...yay. It was so stupid. Theres a connector on the top that was not pushed in right, it had a orange piece of rubber blocking the connection. Plugged that in, turned the AC on, fans now work.
Thanks guys :)

Glad the fix was easy and cheap! Assembling correctly always helps. Just saw your PM, now you don't need to jumper it!
