If you are lucky, you might find one in the junkyard that you could swipe. They are hard to find, though.

I wouldn't think so as the high beam switch isn't activated, flipped foward, when the drls are on. So if I understand version 2 you take the original signal wire from the headlight switch and wire it in with a relay and that signal is from the low beams iirc

So if I am understanding this correctly, all I need to do is plug in the relay, and have DRL's on my 98 SVT? My old taurus had em, and I liked them. :help:

Sweet! I just looked under the hood of my SVT, and in the fuse box, and it looks like I can use the DRL module. My next question is, where can I obtain one? Does someone have one they would be willing to sell?

might be it.. i googled it.

F6RZ-13B218-0AA for the Contour.

umm, can't you just reach over and turn the headlights on when you start the car..? i do it every day myself?

i beleive they where an option so you will not have much luck finding one in the junk yard but you need something other then a base model car to have a chance to find one ... also it is only $20 from teamfordparts.com which is where I got mone and will be getting another

Out of curiosity is there a difference in the design\layout of the under hood power distro boxes between lets say a 1998 and a 2000. Mine isn't laid out anything like the one is this link.

Got my relay from Bill at TeamFord parts. Having DRL's on the SVT is really cool! It looks great! I need to clean up my headlights, and it will look sooo much better. Cheap and easy mod! Highly recommend! The only drawback, is they don't turn off when the e-brake is set. My old taurus did.

that is correct, they are on any time the ignition is in the run possition
