Dear Ford,

I mean jeez, my car I got for free needs a new 3L, which is going in this weekend, but that's besides the point. It's not like it came with oversized sway bars and strut bars. Not to mention the welded stablizer bars and Koni Yellows. nope, time to get rid of it....

J/K. Hate all you want:laugh:

eh, Some days i want to drive my car off a cliff, other days i like it.

Ive put way too much money into it, but it hasn't had any problems after doing so, learned alot from it.

Hit or miss in my book.

1 contour is 1 contour too many for some people.

163k-ish miles for the record....

Interesting replies thus far (read: some selective reading)

my steering wheel vibrated slightly while i roasted past a civic...:ponder: should i trade mine for an ohh soo smooth civic?--it also pulls to the left slightly...hmmm...do civics have this tragic problem??

What's so wrong with the car then? If there's more to it than brakes, bushings, and a bad trans, just speak up!

Contours have problems. Maybe a little more than most cars fords produces. But hey i love my csvt and i don't mind fixing it, just to keep her on the road.

Just left the shop - owner asked me to swing by after work.

The main engine wiring harness is toast. There's about a 12" section where each and every wire and its insulation is crumbling apart.

Anyone have any idea on that cost? I haven't been able to find much of anything online in terms of price.

IMO, a junkyard harness gets me back to square one, but it might be the only option.

Selling/parting the car is on the table right now. I'm just waiting to get some figures back.

ive had my 98 CSVT for 4 years and 50,000 miles and i havent had to do nothing to the motor, just the usual brakes and oil.

If the section is (relatively) easy to access, break out the electrical tape (and liquid elec. tape if you want to do a really good job), strip away the old insulation/covering and go to town on it.

Won't cost you much but some time, and if its just one bad section, it could solve any related problems.
