Diy Mbc

Let me know how that works out rawburt. I bought one very very similar to that from 3bar racing. Mine works great! Stazi has the same one, er he has two for a duel mode setup.

Hey Tom or anybody,

In that write up, what does he mean by;

Straight thru 3/16" plastic hose barb coupling (commonly used in windshield wiper systems)

I have everything else I need but this

don't use that Tee they are referring too just cut the vaccum line to the wastegate and install the boost controller between the wastegate and the manifold line

Personally I like the grainger style mbc.
Here is one of my posts from my dsm site...
The 1st link version is kind of lame. The 2nd link version is a lot nicer.

Build a grainger valve MBC.
Cost is about $10.00

You can get the parts online, from grainger, or they have a supply warehouse right on Haggerty Rd in Novi.

In that write up, he used plastic barbs from a T. Which is retarded. You can buy the end caps for that valve, which are brass, screw on, and have barb fittings. Also available from grainger.
(EDIT)
Here is a write up showing the barb ends.

Back in the day this is what 90% of turbo owners used. The turbo dodge guys came up with it, then it floated over to DSMs. I've used one myself, and it is mighty accurate and cheap.

You can even build a dual stage MBC setup with grainger valves.

Avideo would illustrate how awsome 10 pounds really is!

I new a guy that ran one just like that how to on his SRT4. He ran a vacuum hose alll the
way in to his car from the engine compartment (through the window no less) and I was
impressed that it actually worked  He could hit about 20psi when he had it cranked
up (I drove it).
Installing it under the hood would be ummmm cleaner.
