Early Engagement. Does this sound like a TOB Problem?

I have read many posts regarding throw out bearings today and have not found others with this symptom.

Approx. 5% of the times that I take off from a stop the clutch engages in the bottom half of pedal traval as opposed to near the top. If im not mindful of it I almost stall the car as I am not expecting engagement so soon. Most other times it engages near the top of pedal travel as normal.

TOB?

Thoughts?

I did use the TOB that came with my Spec 3.

Interesting.

Im using a stage 3 (not +) and a stage 3 PP with lightened SVT flywheel.

I would say I get the same thing 5% of the time also. I used a new from ford OEM Slave.

Mine however doesnt really engage it just seems to be grab and release grab and release. Weird sounds the whole 9

What kind of sounds do you get with it?

I have the 'moaning','screeching','vibration' as others do upon cold start before the clutch gets up to temp.

I have the 3+, get the same sorts of engagement and the moaning. It shutters if I don't feather it just right.

It is weird that it engages partially right off the floor but seems to fully engage way farther out. It's like pre-loading  makes it a bit easier to drive though because it gets me moving before the full engagement.

I thought maybe I had air bubbles but i bled it again and I've got the same symptoms so I'm not too worried.

Yeah Ive bleed and rebleed.

I get the MOAAAAAAAAAAAAAN in reverse all the time, sometimes starting in first... at any temperature.

As for pre-loading... Mine is not pre-loading, I cant launch as well when it does that and its completely random.

I've had the same thing happen with my spec stage II but since it is only a few small perecentage of the time, I never thought anything of it.

No not for hard launches, but it makes it easier on the street when it kinda lightly engages and gets you rolling, no?

When it happens to me it seems like its when I first hop in the car. After it's warm it seems to behave normally.

Yeah it is typically when it is cold. Noisy and early engagement. I feel a bit better knowing others are having the same issue. Beginning to wonder if I was going to have to crack the case this spring.

As it stands with other people I wont plan to.

Not really, since it makes such an annoying noise while it does it :(
