i guess its a possibility but I've never seen one that came like that. I assumed it was changed with body styling since thats an exterior piece, but you may be right.

i have seen many 98+ non-svt's with the pre-98 antenna bases. my aunt drives a black 98 and it has the pre-98. i assume some svt's must have come with them

I had thought all E0s had the chrome antenna base. Definitely early 98s have it.

Definitely not a low number.

I have #542 and it was built in April.

Looking at your build numbers, that would explain why. Very early 98's had it. It wasn't specifically an E0 thing.
