Both of the cars are done. The GL is being towed back to the house tomorrow around 6pm and my friend and I are going to go pretend tow the SVT to my storage bin in the morning.

Awesomeness, and kind of a WTF. Why do I need five perfectly functioning, running and driving vehicles, especially when three of them are CDW27s? I thought I was done with this platform.

Holy ****! The SVT is quick. Both tires light with ease and I quit paying attention to the boost guage around 8 psi because I have to pay more attention to keeping the car going in a straight line. It does feel like it has an aftermarket clutch. Not near as soft as the Cougar's stocker but not as agressive as my old GL's Spec III.

Muahahaha, yet another FI'd CSVT. Now you may or may not know the feeling, "Gee, I sure hope that's my tires smoking..... and not something else "

How's that shaft on the supercharger? Looking forward to seeing what you intend to do with your harem of CDW27's...... lots of options :ponder:

The tires that were on it dont smoke, or leave evidence for that matter. I have already started the raping and the silver E1s look more at home on the Cougar. The anthracite E0s look awesome on the SVT. No smoke to speak of, but I believe it has a oil leak somewhere, as there was one of those rainbow circles on the wet ground when I pulled it into the street to clean the snow off of it.

Please tell me you intend to keep the svt, and keep it blown??

That wasnt my original thought, on either of those. I was going to pull the supercharger off of it and put it on the Cougar. The car is growing on me, well, everything but the midnight blue interior, the broken sunroof and the 3" of ground clearance.

If I do decide to keep it and sell the Cougar instead, the car isnt going to stay black, the body kit will come off and it will probably be lifted slightly.

might as well cut off the rear doors and call it a cougar at that point

Except I would still have half a midnight blue interior, a broken sunroof motor and still be 3" off the ground.

The Cougar's body is lower then the SVT's, the SVT just has a body kit. The Cougar has a black leather interior and it doesnt have the faulty sunroof motor (and never will).

BTW, its not just the SVT that would be lifted to a more driveable level, the Cougar is too low as well.

I didn't catch the side skirts earlier...man I hate those. :nonono: Square side skirts on a smooth sleek car = da poop!

Meh, it's your "beater" so I wouldn't sweat it. :) What are your plans for the ol' GL?

Stock, except the SPEC III, and then sold. That also will help me out with the sideskirts if I decide to keep the SVT for any length of time. I agree, square skirts, FTL. They are pretty hammered from all the crap the tires have thrown onto them but otherwise they have held up well.

Is there something up with the trunk lid (drivers side) or is it the quarter that's screwy? Something looks a bit tweaked, but nothing too bad.

Hahaha, the ol' "custom pin stripes". Big daddy Jon must have made a wrong move to get the freshly painted SVT keyed (Just glad it isn't me ;))

The decklid isnt lined up perfectly and the taillamp is missing the little rubber thing on the top of it.

The pin stripes were there when I bought it....just hiding under layers upon layers of crap.

Ah ha. I was starting to worry the quarter didn't go back on straight. A little adjusting and tinkering, and she'll be a lot better off. Not shabby at all for a "beater" SVT skirts would do wonders, but I know you already know that

I already have a set. They are painted teal right now but are complete, right down to the four jack insert covers. Im still trying to find the PO, it would be awesome if he still had the SVT kit in his garage somewhere.
