i can tell you from experience that it is fun.

but the downside is your car gets all dirty inside from all the snow on your feet (which is worse for me with the tan interior)

and, it's possible to get a little bit ahead of yourself and almost eat a curb...:blackeye:

A local guy with an Evo runs ( www.paradigmperformance.net ) and has a Subaru Forester with an STi motor that goes low 12's easy, haha. Now that is an awesome car. His Evo went 11.1 @ 124 and he's already switching turbos again. Talk to him if you're looking for parts. His name is Wayne. You may already know him. He deals with Jan at Speed Industry a lot.

Yea, it has the 2.0 STi motor in it, which is why 12's shouldn't be too far away. my goal is 12's or 300awhp, which ever comes first.

If you're going by the Speed Industry dyno you'll hit 12's waaaaaay before 300awhp. 300awhp on that dyno will net you 11's, haha.
 
Nice pics. I love RX-8's especially in black, although I saw one in a teal color not too long ago and that doesn't look half bad either. Hopefully we'll actually have contours (at least more than just mine) at the oct. 4th GCT replacement meet. Lol. You can all be sure I'll be taking lots of photos.

I've done everything to my car, including the cams, myself so far. The only thing I'll have someone else do entirely is my clutch or any trans. work I need done, and I already know who I'm taking that to. The only thing I've done at Speed Industry was use their dyno and have Tom Payne tune the car.

well if i went there i'd have them tune it, but like i said, i hear so many things that are extremes and no one's in the middle, but there aren't any other subie tuners that are local.
 
I can't say I've heard much of anything about Speed Industry, just that place on Woodward Street Legal Customs. I've heard more negative there than anything.

Sorry That I couldn't make it out. I really,really wanted to but I had to work. And to honest, I kinda needed the money.

I would of been the one and only Contour of the bunch... No Worries guys I would have represented the platform to the best of my abilities. ( I have a passion for driving like that go-kart driving kid from the Geico Insurance commercials).
