Embarassing wiper blade issue

So yesterday I installed some winter blades-Duralast Winter from auto zone, just in time too as it snowed a couple inches over night. They seemed to work great initially. I drove around after I put them on and tested them out and no issues. Until this morning after I dropped off the kids at school, I pull away, hit the wipers and the passenger side blade goes flying off the arm. Luckily I was able to pull over and go pick it up and put it back on. Has this ever happened to anyone? I'm pretty paranoid right now and wondering what I did wrong installing them. Seemed pretty straightforward. Slid them onto the hook arm and they snapped in place. Now I'm thinking about rigging them up somehow with a screw or something.

i have to ensure my blade is clicked into place weekly on my passanger side, try spreading the "u" out ever so slightly, this annoys me as well but everytime it happens it never touches my hood so i just deal with it, bout i could probobly use some new arms.

Double check to make sure they were installed correctly. I had a broken clip on one of my wiper blades, but I continued to use them for another 2 years without it ever coming off. It only came off if I lifted up the arm while washing the car or something.

It shouldn't be coming off that easy if it's clipped in correctly.

Sounds like AutoZone's typical level of quality control. Probably made in China.

Give the Anco blades a shot if you can't get that seated, but there's no need to put a screw in there.

A kid I work with bought a eclipse a week or two ago that came with 'carbon fiber' wiper blades and halfway home one of them broke if half and flew off the car.

Anco makes the Duralast blades. Thats why the old yellow boxes got replaced at the stores. Personally I pay the extra $3 for the silicone blades at walmart that last and make zero noise.

Balls! This must be a recent development. I bought the Anco Contour blades some time ago and they've been good. Expensive, though, at like $20 per.
