Ok so you guys remember Enosonic having issues with his 3L and his front cams would not turn. The problem resulted being a broken timing sprocket and keyway, which resulted in 6 bent exhaust valves. We decided on going hyrbid because everything was there to get the project going.

When placing the 2.5L heads on the 3L you quickly realize that an oil return port on each side is exposed completely.

To remedy this issue I fabbed some plates made out of aluminum by tracing the gasket and then die grinding it to the correct dimensions. This was my result.

This plate fit like a glove here is a pic before the addition of jb weld.

Once we let the jb weld sit my partner was not satisfied by the plates durability so he took it upon himself to fab some additions to the heads. Here they are before going on the 3L block. Enjoy!

One more day and the car should be back on the road again. :)

SHES ALIVE!!! Started up today at around 1pm. Idles smooth and runs nice. Needs a tune to get more hp out of it but I hope it puts down some good numbers.

Thanks Boss. I am super happy because his 98 cams were one of the bunch that were mismarked from Ford and at first the car didnt want to start. I thought that I timed it wrong because I did it with the front teeth and counted like the old method. It turned out to be plug wires in wrong order lol so thats a HUGE relief.

Great News!

Great News!

Working with Sam has been a dream. He has really made this a pleasant experience. Now that it runs, I will be picking her up soon. If not for Sam, I could have easily given up on this one. Thanks again SAM!!

Hey Neal thanks for the good word. Shes waiting for you. you need to buy her a new exhaust lol this one is very raspy. I feel that a center resonator would improve the sound.

I think it may have been those mixed but my parnter was the one who discovered the problem lol so he fixed it.

340 miles and she's still running strong. I will be taking good care of her now. I cant say enough about Sam. He really did me well on this one. Thanks again!

After much neglect (on my part) there are several things I will need to take care of to get the car up to par. Shifter, Exhaust, etc...stay tuned! :)

NEAL!! You are the man Im glad everything worked out well. Its bringing me a bunch of PMs :)
