equal length headers

I think it's a great idea....overall :)

I don't think you will gain much of a difference (2-3) over the msds on a 2.5L:shrug:
3.0L maybe a bit more..but overall its the time of collision between the 2 sides that will help give a better exhaust note and increase power.

How about a better equal length y-pipe with this kit as an option?

Seriously, having done headers on like 5 contours, and pulling the motor on one of them, i wouldnt even bother doing them with the motor in the car, Pulling the motor will probably take the same amount of time, its more fun, and you can replace bigger things like the alternator while your in there.

If you can work and dont need to look at a manual every time, i bet i could pull a motor and install the headers in the same time it would take someone to remove the headers with the motor in the car still.

Everyone overlooks removing the sub-frame. This does NOT require a hoist to remove the engine, and once you've had the sub-frame out once, it is cake to do it again (remember the nut breaking off the sub-frame...).

Pulling it out the top is just as easy.

Plus if your dumb like my and break an AC line and blow freon all over yourself, its easier to do next time... hahaha

will we have a dyno comparison with MSDS headers? i'll be needing headers for the black car before long

chassis dyno are not accurate within 5 whp meaning you can run the same car five times and it will be different as much as 5whp or more so part changes that may only net 3-5whp will not show up sometimes but equal length along with longer runners will scavenge more exhaust gas efficentily. If I do a comparison dyno it will be against stock I really don't care which headers makes more power I sell both and to be honest the MSDS requires no work for me too........:) this is for the guy who wants the SS too.

Let me know as soon as these are ready..! Im looking to buy some headers so as soon as i can get these ill take some.

P.s they will need to be shipped across the pond first :) Mondeo ST is waiting!

That's pretty cool, Joey, but I would think that there are other products that would be more worth your time. Personally, I would love a set of headers that were made to fit your turbo kit. Those would eliminate the winding the up-pipe under the oil pan. I hit that thing on speed bumps all around town. Fixing that could be as simple as cutting the 90 degree bend on the front header and pointing it in the opposite direction (i.e. toward the turbo). Another possibility would of course be long-tube headers, since they are no longer available anywhere.
