Fiberglass Eyelids

they have professional quality 3M already applied to the back

Mine came with no tape... and I remember seeing someone else w/o tape. Was there any clarification from TopShop as to why that was? Could have just been that batch that slipped by... or the later eyelids didn't come with the tape. :shrug:

Either way... a variety of tape can be found at automotive stores, I think even Home Depot.

they must have just overlooked doing it prior to them being shipped. They should come with tape. Or as least I believe the majority of them shipped with tape attached.

Mine came without tape as well. I'm kinda glad since most people said the included tape propped them up to high. I just hope the tape I have is strong enough :laugh:

Installed mine last night. I think the Duplicolor matched pretty darn good.

Painting and prep process:

- wipe down with isopropyl alcohol
- spray with light gray primer
- spray 4 light color coats with Duplicolor rattle can, 1 min between each coat
- spray 4 light clear coats with Duplicolor rattle can, 1 min between each coat
- 48 hours drying time
- wetsand with 2000 grit, then 2500 grit
- hand polish with 3M Fine Cut Compound
- hand polish with Optimum Polish
