Hard-core CEG'er
I say its your car in progress do w/e the ____ You want! Put SVT all over it, I think its been a hard earned effort! Now when u sell it, someones gonna think sumthings up when it says SE on the Registration! LOL :help:
By this reasoning, then every SVT owner here that has swapped his stock engine for a 3.0L needs to rip off every SVT emblem on his car, as they are no longer running an SVT engine. As I recall, one of Ford's intents with the SVT marque was to offer performance parts that anyone could buy from Ford, bolt on, and upgrade the performance of their car. SVT was more than a trim line, it was a PRODUCT LINE that included parts as well as complete autos. I see no difference in slapping on some SVT decals after installing SVT parts (aesthetic OR performance) than in slapping on a K&N decal after installing a filter. The only difference now, in all honesty, between his car and a factory CSVT is the VIN # and the engine. He does an engine swap, then the only difference is the VIN. More power to you buddy! The only exception I can think of is a 280sx (Silvia) with an RB-26DETT swapout. I beleive they should be allowed the GT-R badge, even if not a "Skyline", per se. At least it's still a Nissan.![]()
Hell, if someone could think of a way to drop a Cobra engine in a Contour... I think I would be OK if they had a Cobra emblem.
Moral of the story.... IMO, the badges/decals on a car should an indicator of what is INSIDE the car, performance-wise. Vtec, SiR, Vspec, & SVT badges are all hinting at what the car has in the way of engine tuning/type, transmission, suspension, etc. If you have a NOS decal on your car.... you BETTER have a NOS kit.
No black eye there. Those stock SE wheels are a hundred times better looking than a set of E0s, and at least twice as good looking as a set of E1s. It's just a damn shame they only came as 15 inchers.haha yessss...svt kit and SE wheels FTW! (that's what I'm currently running :blackeye![]()

The car looks awesome!!! Good work.
But please ditch the SVT mats and door decals. That is so ricey.
