Glasspacks?

Thanks - I was actually asking Luca who was disappointed in the sound of the Magnaflow resonator - so that's why I used the quote of that post.

muffs

screw the rez, screw the magnaflow, save your money and cut the rez out and weld in a straght pipe, It will be the cheapest and best mod you ever did, trust me.

When I bought the car it had a glass pack with the stock mufflers. I liked the sound and should never have messed with it. Actually, everyone that heard it liked the sound, never had any negative feedback.

I do have Magnaflow mufflers now and am not crazy about them either.
When they were installed, my car got pretty quiet, way too quiet for my liking. I got headers and that helped a bit but was still disappointed. The rear mufflers are on the car now but I got rid of the Magnaflow resonator (muffler). I did have another glass pack installed and it already sounds better, IMO.

It doesn't sound ricey with the glass pack, I get no rasp either. :)

Apparently, Magnaflow is not for me. ;)

Thinking about it, it's more of the tone that I don't like with the Magnaflow. Don't get me wrong, I like the sound of the Magnaflow's on other people's cars but not on mine. The glass pack gives it more of a rumble and a bit of a deeper tone.

Maybe I should have gotten a Borla. :D

Trust is something you have to earn and unless you've actually done the other mods, you'll never really know whether or not a straight pipe is going to sound better to you. What sounds good to any given person is highly subjective, as we've read in this post. However I will grant you that doing your mod will likely be cheaper than any other choice besides leaving the exhaust alone. No trust required there.

just installed my trubendz with flowmaster and i must say it sounds way better then stock. only one muffler so its a bit loud. but its a low rumble which hits its loudest around 2K then gets more quiet as you go up. no droning unless ur in low rpms. but whos in those rpms anyway ahah. im pleased with it.

I run complete stock exhaust with Rez/delete and strait piped, sounds good....

i'm going to get Headers & Y-pipe before i change out the mufflers see how it sounds first
