good shops around rochester, ny?

hi all,

looks like the rear springs on my brother's contour gave out while he is up at school in rochester. does anyone know of any good shops around the area that he could take the car to and get it fixed? i'm probably going to drive up and have them install a set of konis with b+g springs that i have laying around, but i figured i would check on here first to see if anyone has any knowledge of the area before i called around. thanks for any suggestions.
 
If your looking for a cheap shop that does good work, express fleet services is where i go and i cant find anyone cheaper than him...but if your looking for a good perfomance style shop there arent many...
 
why not just see if there are any members in the area. if the struts and springs are already one unit its a pretty straight forward job.
 
that would be great if someone could help with the install and i'd be more than willing to compensate with money, food, beer or all of the above haha. i'm just not sure if anyone will be free that weekend and i don't want to wait too long since my brother needs the car to get around at school. how much do you think it'll cost me at a shop? i was just going through and checking out some of the preferred installers on tirerack and it seems like just mounting tires up there is more expensive than down here in ma. locally, i could've had the suspension installed for about $160.
 
oh yeah, do you have an address for express fleet services? i looked online and all i could find was rochester fleet services. is that the same?

Yea, i'd PM me... I like food, beer and money... and have also done my fair share of suspension swaps. :D

Only thing I can't do is alignment, but the rest I can do.

I could easily have the suspension done in under 5 hours start to finish...
 
theres a really good place down in canandaigua its like 30 minutes from roch. they are usually booked very solid since they dotn f**k people over and do really good work. Steele and Bell is the name.

Yea, I like new parts... I need some new struts so I can run my Eibachs on the SVT or I need a whole set of springs/struts. Mine were just replaced on the SVT but I want to upgrade... :D
 
Alright, for anyone that is planning to come, i'm off all day on Saturday so I say we get a nice early start just in case we run into any issues and need to get parts. I'm thinking it'd be nice to start working on the car by 10am at the latest. Gives us a nice early start and Chris, you can show up whenever you want, you've got a longer drive anyways.
