Goodbye Green SVT :(

:( I'm really sorry!

Insurance companies usually offer a low price at first. I would look around at AutoTrader, etc. and find comparable SVT's and print out the info. for them. That might help to get you a better deal if they see what others are going for. Remember it is a "special" vehicle. ;)

I know the ins. co. has access to all that info. but many companies will try to pass off the dollar amount from a regular Contour. If they know that you did your homework they'll hopefully give you a better price.

When I totalled mine in the spring I had them go back and have a closer look at their numbers. Amazingly they found a little more than $2,000 to give me.

if you intend to buy the car back and part it out, let me know what you want for the E1 wheels.

when the time comes...

im still waiting on insurance. i called today and left a message to make sure he got my fax with the reciepts.

hope he calls back tommorrow

alright, heres an update.

ui just settled with the insurance company. i ended up getting them to value the car at a little over $3700 (considering the miles... 163,000, even though it didnt drive like that. i wish they could have drove it to get a real feel for the cars quality to keep going). anyways, since i had the 2 claims, i got a double hit with my deductable (pretty retarded if you ask me) and i bought the car back, i have a check coming to me for about $2400.

when i start to get time, i'll start to take the car apart. DONT MESSAGE ME YET ABOUT PARTS! when i take them off, i'll be posting stuff in the classified. some stuff i am going to keep.

anywyas, that was the rest of the story... sad :(
