Before I tell everyone what happened I have a 1999 Contour SVT I installed a ZEX dry kit with a remote bottle opener, purge kit and bottle heater.

I had an alarm installed in my car the first time the car went in to get it installed the bottle was empty. Well I had teh bottle filled on thursday checked out the system charged the lines checked for leaks tightened everything up. A friend and I took my car out and made sure the system was working properly and it all was. With the bottle up to temp I had about 950psi after we were done playing I was sitting at 900psi with the bottle warmed up. I closed the bottle and purged the system.

So firday morning I took my car back to the alarm shop to have the alarm finished I know the bottle had 900psi with the bottle warm as I said earlier. Well I didn't check my mileage when I dropped the car off nor did I check the pressure in the bottle when I picked the car up. I caught up with a friend of mine on the highway that has a hopped up SRT-4 so I got all excited I was going to get to try out my system against a decent car in my class. I had the heater on for awhile so my bottle pressure should have been around 900psi right??? Well my pressure was 0psi I have nothing so I close the bottle and hit the purge thinking mabey my pressure gauge might be f***ed up. My friend said there was one small puff that came out and that was it.

We pulled off the highway and I checked everything out sure enough no nitrous in my bottle. I called the shop that did the alarm and of course the shop mamager tells me he has no idea what happened. The alarm was done in Silverdale, Wa and by the time I called I was well on my way to Yakima, Wa. When I get back over there I'm trying to decide what to do I want to confront them face to face.

Anyone have suggestions on how I should approach these guys???? Tell me what you think about this situation and what you would do.

when i had my flip chip tuned i had a vallet tune installed. rev limiter of 3k rpms, just to keep :censored::censored::censored::censored: like that from happening:nonono: good luck,i wish i could offer you some advice

Alright I figured out what happened. First off I was wrong they did not empty my bottle I jumped to conclusions what happened was the stud that the wheel bolts to which in turn the remote bottle opener bolts too snapped. Meaning the bottle won't open or close until I get it repaired. Thats what I get for jumping the gun.

I talked to the shop today and apologized and they understand where I was coming from so all seems to be good. I admitted my mistake so hey I'm only human.

Good to hear that you made up for any assumptions and cleared it up, but none the less i'd still never take a car to a shop with a full bottle.

This is usually what i do when i have my car at a shop that i don't know well:

Take headunit faceplate with me if detachable
Note the mileage (photo on phone works well)
Take anything of importance
and then any other things you may feel you need to worry about.
