My AC is short cycling. I am not going to try to mess with the refrigerant, I understand it's a complex system and I don't have the tools, nor do I want to buy them.
I understand that short cycling could be low pressure, high pressure, or a bad high pressure switch. Since I haven't added any refrigerant, I think it will turn out to be low pressure or the switch.
I was wondering how cheap, and how easy, it is to replace the switch??
Just in case that's the problem, I could possibly save an evac/recharge cost that isn't necessary. If it's like $30 and 15 minutes might be worth the gamble before I take it in.
