Head differences

My searches have returned little helpful info, so I'm asking. I read that the SVT heads were extrude honed just like the intakes were - is that correct and is it the only difference between the heads? What about the 3.0L split port heads? I have a different part number for them also but does anyone know what makes them different?
 
Dont quote me on this, but I think this is correct.

195 HP SVT heads had just the primary ports extrude honed.
200 HP SVT heads had both ports extrude honed.

Not sure about the 3.0L heads. Im going to say no EH'ing.
 
well since the 3L has a larger piston then the combustion champer in the head would be bigger also ... so a different part number :shrug:
 
are you comparing svt vs 3L
or 2.5 s 3.0?
01+ 2.5 heads also have the revised oil drains in the heads

I was comparing all three and was actually mainly curious about intake port size. Anyone have a set of 3L split port heads to measure?
