Last summer the hose connecting the EGR to the DPFE was blowing off all the time. We got the Main cat replaced because it was clogged and it was all good. Yesterday it started doing the same thing. I reconnected the hose, took it for a spin and as soon as i went WOT the hose blew off... It wasent clamped on but held on my a zip tie.

So i got a bunch of codes from that:
332 335 and 337 all EGR failures which i assumed are from the lack of pressure from the tube being blown off.

Need some help. Should i drop the exhaust and check for blockages again.. whats the chance that its anything but the brand new main cat...

Edit:

Im dumb. Its not the DPFE. its whatever the vac line coming off the EGR tube is (from the rear manifold)

thats what i thought, but on a diagram on autozone it showed the vac line going to the pipe im talking about.

Its like a metal barb kinda thing. and the rubber tube keeps popping off evertime it gets any power.

What year, engine and tranny is this vehicle?

If the hose keeps coming off, either you need a new hose or the main cat is plugged up again. (which could mean that your precats, if you still have them, are disintegrating very fast).

This was happening to me last week. I disconnected the main cat, and the hoses quit blowing off. My precats were bad, and I think they clogged up the main cat. Waiting on MSDS now.
