In a Nightmare please help I lts a 2000 SE alternator won't charge, batt light. The works..

Sooo I'm new. I love you guys y'all been helping me a lot I'm in need of a pros help. It's a 2000 SE 2.5 V6 with 104k

It's always done the funky dash stuff and lights sucks and now it was acting good but that didn't last and now it's worse than ever....
Guys I'm in a bad bad spot I have a Ford master repair manual and I traced my 20bk wires all the way through mega fuse and alt everything and it wasn't the problem I've had this car for 3 ears and it's always intermittently flickered and the typical electrical gremlins I guess but I've done nothing really besides put two alts in it in a year now. The battery light is on 90% of the time and check engine. Its my only car right now and I have a family and I need to have it running. I also literally just had the B+ terminal on the alt snap off when I put it back on today to add on top of the craziness....
 
what has been done to the car wiring wise anything added in aftermarket?, how do the battery cables look. I need some pictures, I have all the ford contour factory manuals. Let me know.
 
Have you ever replaced your alternator? Does your battery die in a short time? These cars are notorious for having issues with the alternator. Mine has been replaced 3 times and my battery light is currently on. They go bad rather quickly. I would have it checked but im willing to bet thats what your issue is. Especially if your dash lights have always been funky. Or you could at least start there.

Try a digital multimeter on the battery while car is running vs car is not running.

See if the Altenator is actually working. (Volts up around 13.5 to 14.4) and when car is off (Volts 12.5 to 12.9) ish....
 
Okay sorry for the huge delay car was doing okay for a bit so now my alternator is doing good it wasn't working unless I had the alt plugged in just right so I'm always having to f*k with it on the fly very annoying however the car works so.... Now it's plugged in all the way and is charging normally right around 14.5-14.7

However now.... It's not cranking right when I go to turn it on it acts like the batt is weak but it's staying fully charged. I've checked my wiring I have a ford hand book for the car and tested all the connections/pins on the 3 wire harness they read proper so it's really weird and yes I have put 2 alternators in it I am beyond intimate with this car now sadly however it's made me a much better mechanic lol. Also getting alot of oil leaking on the back side not like a major leak but over time it builds and I'm sure it's nothing short of fun or impossible to fix without pulling the motor so so be it. I don't have to add oil but maybe every 6 months or if my oil change comes firs. But I digress

Soo yeah this is my problem currently I'm very frustrated with the car I love it and it's a nimble fun little car but my lights did do the flicker thing until I replaced the alternator the first time now it only does it if the battery hasnt been charging but it doesn't do the pulsating thing that I e heard people talk about since I replaced it the 1st or 2nd time. I've thought about making a self exciting alt or doing the wiring fix but I need some of you guys to help let me know what Ive left out that you need and pictures of what and what circuits/wires like the 20bk or whatever just tell me the jargon and I'll figure it out with you guys awesome help thanks and have a good one hope y'all's Christmas/New Year was great!!!

P.s have a couple codes coming up if anyone is familiar I haven't had any time to look them up but I assume they are why my gas mileage is so crappy lol but yeah the car is good I also have a clunking on certain bumps like when load is taken off the front suspension for a second and I replaced the sway bar links but I'm not sure if it's bushings or what? It's a low mileage car right around 100k it says more than it really has cause when the first alt went the cluster would go crazy and say I was doing 100+ sooo yeah but anyways thanks Soo much hope this helps y'all help me lol 😆

No nothing aftermarket however I want to put a stereo in it eventually when it is electrically sound!! It does have a cheapy head unit and my front speakers don't work though. But I'm just gonna re wire them hopefully I don't have to rewire the charging system 😩

It's intermittent I have to angle the plug alot of times but recently it's done great and is running steady at 14.5-/+
 
Oh also the battery light functions as it should unless my grey tickle wire comes undone but sometimes I think it might not work if that helps?!?
